Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how FleetGen, Inc. (“FleetGen,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our freight-brokerage operating system and the related websites, applications, and services (the “Service”). FleetGen is a business-to-business product used by freight brokerages and their teams. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. Names, work email addresses, phone numbers, company details, role, and credentials you provide when you create or administer an account.
- Usage data. Log data about how you interact with the Service, including device and browser information, IP address, pages and features used, and timestamps.
- Content you upload. Data you and your team enter into or import into the Service to run your brokerage — including shipper, carrier, and load records, contacts, documents, rates, invoices, and related operational data.
- Communications. Information you provide when you contact support, request a demo, or otherwise correspond with us.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and maintain the Service;
- Run brokerage workflows, including carrier verification, on your behalf;
- Authenticate users, manage accounts, and provide customer support;
- Monitor performance, diagnose problems, and improve features;
- Send service, security, and administrative messages; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Carrier & shipper data
Much of the content in the Service is data about your shippers and carriers. We process this data to operate the brokerage workflow you have configured — building and dispatching loads, running carrier verification, and maintaining the records of your business. As to this data, your company is the controller and FleetGen acts as a processor on your instructions, handling it only to provide the Service.
Sharing & third parties
We do not sell your data. We share information only as described here:
- Sub-processors. Vetted service providers — such as cloud hosting, infrastructure, and analytics vendors — that process information on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- Connected tools. When you connect an integration such as a TMS or a carrier-vetting service, we exchange the data needed for that integration to function, as you direct.
- Legal & safety. Where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of FleetGen, our customers, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Customer content is retained according to your agreement with us and is deleted or returned on request after termination, subject to applicable law.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information in our care, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and regular review of our practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you of material incidents as required. You can read more on our security page.
Your rights & choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Because much of the data in the Service belongs to our customers, we will generally direct end-user requests to the relevant customer (the controller) and assist them in responding. Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Service, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service works. We do not use the Service to serve third-party advertising.
International transfers
FleetGen operates in the United States, and information may be processed there or in other countries where we or our sub-processors operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
